Introducing Two Rivers
Costa Rica, our private wildlife and eco-retreat sanctuary. Perched in
the jungles of Cabuya at the southernmost tip of the Nicoya Peninsula,
only 3 miles from National Nature Preserve Cabo Blanco, Two Rivers is
an eco-estate designed specifically for exclusive retreats and
gatherings of 7 to 13 individuals. Set amongst hundreds of uninhabited
forest hectares, our secluded property of 40 acres encloses manicured
tropical gardens and jurassic jungle, ideal for both inner and outer
exploration. Our guests will be introduced to the wilds of Mother
Nature from the moment of their arrival as they hike twenty minutes
over jungle and river paths to reach Two Rivers. Located a mere
thousand yards from the Pacific Ocean and nestled between two rivers
with waterfalls that flow year round, our private park is home to
numberless species of flora and fauna; including exotic mammals, birds,
butterflies, reptiles and amphibians that are common to Central
America. Two Rivers' fortunate topography allows for a mild, nearly
mosquito-free climate with cool refreshing breezes cascading throughout
the rolling grounds, making one's stay remarkably comfortable even when
beach temperatures are soaring.
Environmental
responsibility guides the
development of Two Rivers, a facility completely off the grid, with
energy flowing from hi-tech solar and hydropower systems. Our water is
fed from a number of springs off site, collected at the property's
highest point, then gravity funneled 600 feet into an organic papyrus
and sand filtration system. Laboratory testing confirms that we have
amazingly clean, refreshing, healthy water. We are beginning to grow
organic fruits and vegetables on our farm, and will also procure
organic produce from local Costa Rican family farms. This will aide our
in-house chef in preparing sumptuous lacto-ovo vegetarian and vegan
meals, inspired by the world's great cuisines.
"Zen Fiesta" is
how we describe the design of Two Rivers'
accommodations; clean, simple lines with a Japanese architectural
flair, accented with colorfully playful fabrics and art. The private
teacher's house will be set adjacent to our butterfly garden and
students will stay in duplex casitas, each with two private entranced
bedrooms. All bedrooms will have their own private bathroom with hot
water shower, a balcony for lounging, and a separate living and
dressing area. Guests will also enjoy: common areas designed for
leisurely afternoons, a large lap pool and spa with two massage therapy
rooms, the Kitchen House with covered lanai dining area displaying
spectacular views of the jungle and waterfalls, and of course our grand
two-room Japanese style teaching/gathering/meditation facility, in
which each room will have three open or screened walls overlooking
picturesque tropical gardens and jungle.
Two Rivers'
fortunate locale allows our guests to enjoy a number of
adventure activities all within 15 minutes from the base of the river.
Explore Cabo Blanco, ride horses, tour the forest canopy on zip-lines,
hike to secluded waterfalls, snorkel or surf, swim or beach comb,
sunbathe, sea-kayak, or shop for local artisans' arts and crafts. Two
Rivers will rejuvenate your body, tidy up your mind, and boost your
spirit.
